A national standard strain CMCC(B)40001 was re-identified through biochemical tests, mass spectrometry identification, 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis, whole genome sequence determination and bioinformatics analysis. The virulence of the strain, drug resistance and MLST of the strain, the evolutionary relationship of Bordetella spp. The results showed that combining different methods, CMCC(B)40001 was re-identified as Bordetella bronchiseptica. And as a standard strain, it could play the role of quality control described in national standard. At the same time, a new ST type of this strain was obtained. In terms of evolutionary relationship, it is genetically close to Bordetella pertussis and Bordetella parapertussis. To conclude, in this study, the national standard strain CMCC(B)40001 was reidentified as Bordetella bronchiseptica, and its genetic characteristics was analyzed to provide resource description support for the application of this national standard strain. |
