The study of microbial gene function is of great significance to reveal the law of microbial life activity and its application mechanism in food fermentation, medicine and health, industrial and agricultural production and other fields. After decades of development, the research methods of microbial gene function have developed from traditional homologous recombination technology to efficient targeting technology based on endonuclease to poke the research of microbial gene function to a new height. This paper reviews the strategies and common methods for research of microbial gene function, including bioinformatics prediction, gene expression spectrum analysis, gene knockout technology, gene knockout technology, gene silencing technology, gene editing technology and so on. |
